On Episode 4 of Will It Cut? we used the Tiger Shark diamond blade on a Husqvarna K770 gas cut off saw to try and cut through a delicious whole watermelon. Seems like it should slice through easy right? Maybe… Maybe Not, let’s see. Will a diamond blade cut a watermelon?
Diamond blades are obviously used to cut hard material. They’re not used to cut soft material like fruit or foods. Obviously with the diamond edges and powerful cutting action, a diamond blade will eventually cut through food. Still, it should take a while for the blade to cut through the fruit based on it’s consistency and the science of the blade and it’s cutting capabilities. Should be messy and choppy.
For predictions:
Chris predicted the watermelon would just slide
Nelson said “we’re gonna do it”
Colby said it “it’s gonna get messy”
